This is one of the two paintings that I will have for sale at the Art for All Fundraiser. Proceeds will go the the Isabel Bader Centre and the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning.

One of 3 paintings accepted in the Art and Parcel show at the Ottawa Art Gallery Annexe. This one is called 'Dusk'. Living on a lake and seeing the sunsets inspired this work. The other 2 paintings are 12" x 12" and are of abstracted wild flowers.

I was invited to be in this show, the inaugural Square Foot show in Kingston, Ontario.
I have 5 12" x 12" paintings, four are wild flowers, and one is under the sea, called 'Coral Gardens'.

My painting was chosen for the poster.

‘From Sea To Sea to Sea' 18" x 24" Framed

There were 4 months following the Covid-19 lock-down in March of 2020 when I didn’t have any motivation to paint. It didn’t seem important enough. What could I contribute that would be worthwhile in these strange troublesome times?
Then, in June, a friend told me about an upcoming juried show to be held at the Arts and Letters Club in Toronto. The theme was Unity. I started to think about unity and what it meant to me. I started to paint with excitement, producing a whole series, painting daily and thinking about unity all the time. I was free again to paint with enthusiasm - undaunted.
This particular painting developed after I thought about unity in Canada. I am proud to be Canadian. I think Canadians are people who care about each other and stand in unity, no matter what differences we may have. I tried to portray this by making a stylized map of Canada with various people superimposed on the map - friends, family, and strangers -all connected.
108 paintings were accepted in this nationwide competition.
This painting was chosen as one of the 10 Best in Show.

My painting 'Connections' was juried into this show. I'm so pleased to be showing work in such a beautiful Gallery. My painting'Connections' sold later at a Gallery in Quebec.

I entered 4 paintings in this show, and all four were accepted. This painting was chosen as one of the Top Ten Finalists, such an amazing honour for me. It was a Canada wide competition. All 4 of my paintings showed figures because when I think of unity I think of the human race and connection between people.

This is the Annual OKWA members show.
This wonderful bright little Gallery is open for visitors with social distancing.
My painting is this show was titled 'Unrestricted.' Each artist writes a short statement about their work submitted, and it proves to be interesting and well received by the viewers.

Two of my paintings were chosen to be in the Rental and Sales Gallery. This one is called 'The Midas Touch', mixed media on rice paper. The other is titled 'Release', oil and cold wax on board, 24" x 24".

Two of my large abstract works were chosen to be in this juried show. I have included the one inspired by rocks here. The other was inspired by the blue sky. They are each 42" x 36".

The Affordable Art Show in Ottawa. No works priced over $1000, some as low as $50.

The Organization of Kinston Women Artists is pleased to present our member's show, entitled 'Restricted'. Artists can create anything they wish using this theme and are asked to make a statement to show with their work. These shows are always so varied and interesting for the viewers.

Two of my paintings were accepted in the Annexe Gallerie at the Ottawa Art Gallery. They will be shown sometime in the next year, but you may ask to see them if you wish at any time. They are square, 20" x 20" and use gold leaf and oil and cold wax. I have posted one of them above, 'Bedrock IV'.

I entered this show and was so pleased my painting was accepted. There were many entries and some fine works were not accepted.
My painting is titled 'Bliss', and is 36" square.
This painting is now on display, donated to the Kingston General Hospital, Armstrong Wing.

In celebration of Canada's 150th birthday, OKWA (Organization of Kingston Women Artists) are sharing work inspired somehow by a Canadian artist. They also do a 70 word write-up to show with their work. It should be interesting!
